What is a blog?
Generally called a blog to a site where posts or entries are added, a kind of journal. The author of the blog writes the articles sometimes chronologically, following a script. For example, if you talk about a trip, each new entry may be for a day of that trip.
The normal thing is that this blog is specialized in a specific subject. A blog about music, movies, technology, travel… Based on the main topic, the author or authors generate content of their interests and visitors can interact through comments.
It is common to find blogs that have one, two or three weekly articles. They do not usually generate a lot of content, since as we said it is common for there to be only one author or a few.
It is a more informal site, created more as a personal project where we can give our opinion, report something in which we are experts, etc. Although we can also find corporate blogs that are one more tool within a website to offer visitors.
Main features of a blog:
- Is free
- Simple to create and manage
- Does not have great flexibility
- It is not the best to position in search engines
On the internet we can find countless sites where to create a blog. Between free and paid we will always have options that are better than others. Or that, on the other hand, they offer us better functionalities, or more customization capacity. This last point being something very important if it is for a brand, or even for many users.
